T&T TRY TO DEFY THE ODDS AGAINST ITALIANS TODAY Print

 

 Trinidad and Tobago will attempt once again to defy the odds when they tackle Italy in their second Group A encounter at the Cairo International Stadium from 6:45pm (12:45pm TT time) on Monday.

The game is of utmost importance to both teams as the Italians will be aiming for three points which should put one foot for them into the second round while T&T will be hoping to grab their first three points to keep their hopes of advancing alive.

HYLAND:WE WANT TO MAKE UP FOR OPENING LOSS Print

 Italian head coach Francesco Rocca says his team will not underestimate Trinidad and Tobago when both teams meet tomorrow (Monday) in their second Group A encounter at the Cairo International Stadium from 6:45pm (12:45pm T&T time)

The Italians have already attained a point with their 0-0 draw with Paraguay on Friday and Rocca said he was happy with his team’s start.

T&T ARRIVE IN CAIRO... FACE TO FACE WITH THE ITALIANS Print

 

 Trinidad and Tobago’s National Under 20 footballers came face to face with their Italian counterparts upon arrival at the Fairmont Hotel in Cairo on Friday afternoon as both teams settled in for their live-in camp for the remaining two games in Group A of the FIFA Under 20 World Championship.

T&T arrived at the hotel which is described as being built around a stunning landscaped atrium, offering guests to Cairo the ultimate in luxury and service, located five minutes away from Cairo International Airport.

JAKE GETS HIS T&T PASSPORT Print

TTFF Special Adviser  Jack Warner on Wednesday night presented English-born footballer Jake Thomson with his Trinidad and Tobago passport which makes him eligible to play for the country in Thursday’s opening match of the FIFA Under 20 World Championship against Egypt.

Warner explained that it turned out to be a close call regarding  Thomson getting his  passport in time to play on Thursday.
