Regrettably it has been confirmed that two of Haiti’s most experienced National team coaches perished in last week’s disastrous earthquake.
Former Senior Team head coach Gerard Cineus, who led the team to previous Concacaf Gold Cups and Jean Ives Labaze both lost their lives while several members of the national team’s technical staff are still unaccounted for, according to Captain Horace Burrell who made a visit to Haiti on the weekend. A national squad of thirty six players is currently in training gearing towards selection on a Trinidad and Tobago Under 16 team to compete at the Caribbean Football Union Under 16 championship in August at a venue to be determined.
