With the sweet sounds of the Tassa drums blaring in the stands it was matched on the field with sweet football from both Trinidad & Tobago and opponents St. Kitts & Nevis, but at the end of full time the home team triumphed 3-1 to seal their place in the 2008 Digicel Caribbean Championship Finals set for Reggae Island, Jamaica.

Trinidad and Tobago have called up ten overseas-based players for the November 19th FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Cuba at the Hasely Crawford Stadium. And in that list spearheaded by captain Dwight Yorke are two new call ups – Welsh-based winger Josh Johnson and English-born goalkeeper Anthony Warner.
The full squad for the encounter which kicks off at 9pm and leaves the “Soca Warrior” needing at least a point to guarantee passage into next year’s final round, is yet to be finalized and is expected to be announced by head coach Francisco Maturana following the end of the ongoing Digicel Caribbean Championships Group H contest.
