Joe Public and Caledonia AIA will battle it out for 2007 FA Trophy supremacy next Wednesday at the Marvin Lee stadium after both teams recorded semi-final victories in Macoya on Thursday.
Jamaican Roen Nelson did the trick late with an added on time win over United Petrotrin in Public’s 2-1 win while a clever Conrad Smith first half strike led Caledonia to a 1-0 win over CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh in the second game of the double header.

Kerry Baptiste wasted a good chance for Public in the 13th minute after combining with Gregory Richardson before hitting wide of the mark
But Jagdeosingh did the job in the 26th minute when he collected Richardson’s pass and he beat goalie Tristan Charles on his near post for a 1-0 Joe Public lead.
Petrotrin fought back though and had the home team running hard for its eventual win.
Joe Public’s Colombian midfielder Carlos Gonzales forced Charles into a good save on 30 minutes.
Petrotin pressured in the second half but it was Charles who had to pull off a good save to deny Nelson in the 77th minute.
National team member Keon Daniel brought Petrotrin back into it with a perfectly taken free kick which curled past an outstretched Jacomeno Barett for a 1-1 scoreline in the 87th minute.
But just when the game seemed heading for extra time, the “Reggae Boy” stole the show with a low effort on the far post after being sent through by Baptiste. Petrotrin out and Joe Public into Wednesday’s final.
In that encounter, they will be bracing for a tough outing from Caledonia who held off am challenges from Jabloteh in the second game.
Jabloteh goalie Cleon John had to also be on top his game to avoid further goals against his team after he was caught off his line, failing to get anywhere close to a well taken lob by Smith on 9 minutes.
But Marvin Oliver and Smith squandered a couple simple chances for Caledonia, leaving Jabloteh with hope of a second half comeback.
Antiguan striker Peter Byers saw his effort just beat the upright earlier on. Jabloteh managed further opportunities but hardly look likely to find the target as the second half progressed. Cornell Glen came on in the closing 20 minutes but could do little against a sturdy Caledonia back line which was determined to see their team through to the final where both finalists will compete for a $60,000 first prize. Kick off on Wednesday is 6:30pm. (Dec 6, 2007)
