Experienced National team midfielder Densill Theobald believes the next month will be critical towards this country’s state of readiness for the 2014 CONCACAF Gold Cup in the United States

The Caledonia AIA midfielder leaves today with the local contingent of players and staff for London as the National Team heads to Bucharest to face Romania in a friendly international on June 4th to be followed by another friendly against Estonia in Tallinn on June 7th.

He knows this could be the one chance to stake his claim for selection on the CONCACAF Gold Cup team. Young Shahdon Winchester has scored two goals in consecutive weeks for Finnish Pro league team FF Jaro since the news broke of his inclusion on the National team for the upcoming friendlies against Romania and Estonia.

Finnish-based striker Shahdon Winchester has been called up to join the National Men’s Senior team for next month’s back to back friendly internationals away to Romania and Estonia.

Winchester has been named in final 21-man squad which will arrive in Bucharest, Romania on June 1st for the match that will be played at the National Arena on June 4th.  T&T will then face Estonia in Tallinn on June 7th

FEELING OF EMPOWERMENT AS TTFF AND '06 WARRIORS REUNITE

"After seven years of legal wrangling with the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF), the 13 2006 “Soca Warriors” can breathe a sigh of relief that the “nightmare” is over."

That was the Trinidad Express statement as the TTFF hosted a press conference at the VIP Lounge, Hasely Crawford Stadium to commemorate the settlement of the case involving thirteen 2006 World Cup players.

The conference was aired live on CNC 3 television and was eagerly anticipated by all who had followed the events of the saga dating back to 2006. On Monday there were smiles on each of the players present and a sense of satisfaction and relief both by the 2006 "Soca Warriors" and TTFF officials including President Raymond Tim Kee and General Secretary Sheldon Phillips who were instrumental in the settlement reach which included discussions with CONCACAF President Jeff Webb.
